Very pleased we stayed here! The room was huge, and had a mini kitchen with all the essentials, table and big bed etc. We had the room overlooking the Park which was lovely. We walked past one of the ''street view'' rooms, and in comparison it looked very small and a little noisy as it was overlooking the main road. Pay the little extra and go for a park view room, you will not regret it! Also included a continental breakfast, and although very basic (fruit, cereal, toast and jam, coffee & Tea etc) it did the job and kept us going until Lunch! Location also is great, as it's just a 10 minute walk into the city centre, but there are also allot of restaurants, pubs and cafe's right next to the hotel.

We booked 3 rooms/appartments for my son's graduation. My father has mobility challenges - there is a lift and staff were very helpful with luggage, the wheelchair etc. His room was next to the lift. Very convenient indeed. Continental breakfast was great and easy to access. The dining room has a lovely view over Parker's Piece. There are lots of local cafes and restaurants which was great. We could easily get around and being quite central was very helpful. Everyone had a lovely stay and a check out of 11 meant that we were not rushing in the morning we came home. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will recommend.

The property was in an ideal location for the shops and corn exchange for a show. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the staff were exceptionally friendly allowing us early check in and a great service. Our room was upstairs beside the road but was still very quiet due to the glazing and shutters. The beds were comfortable and the shower great! The small kitchen area was great for a cuppa, we were amazed to find a full fridge and oven facilities in the room. The breakfast was just perfect, help yourself to all things continental! We would definitely stay again. Thank you all at The Regent.

The location was perfect, 7 min walk from the River. Breakfast was basic ( however that is what I was expecting after reading the reviews) and they ran out of filter coffee. The room (22 Loft with balcony) was great and extremely comfortable. Parking After reading the reviews I was apprehensive and concerned about the parking, however we arrived about 3PM on a Sunday and left at 5PM the following Monday (bank holiday) and managed to park out the back (on a single yellow) for the entire time we were there and we never got a parking fine. What a bonus :-)

Perfect location not far from rail station and easy to walk around centre. Got free upgrade from city view to ‘park view’ although ‘view’ blocked by trees, more peaceful. Nice clean room with small kitchen and ‘rain’ shower. Room cleaned, bed made and towels changed every day. V good continental breakfast.
